Firstly, thanks a lot for registering.
You're a boon to the amiga community.
The first thing you should do is make backups of your two disks.
All of Tritus, R3 and the level editor can all be run from workbench.
Tritus and R3 can be run by booting on either of the two disks.
You may need to do this if you only have 1 meg of memory. See the docs
for more details.
Docs are available from workbench. Just click on the icons or load into
your favourite text-viewer.
For hard-disk installation, drag the "R3" and "Tritus" drawers onto your
hard-disk. The "Original.levels" drawer goes INSIDE the R3 drawer.
See the docs for more information.
If I make enough money to live off from writing Amiga games, I will
write lots more! This is my first commercial attempt. Tell everyone
how much you like R3 (on usenet, internet, etc.). So far only a few
lucky registered users have got to see the level editor and Tritus, so
spread the word... and give all your friends a copy of the DEMO
version.
Since the demo version was released:
Rebounding off walls has been improved. There are now very few
places where it is possible to get stuck in a wall.
Passwords given at the end of levels are now for the NEXT level,
not the current (tiny bug).
Somebody suggested putting a cardboard divider in front of the
monitor so the players can't see each other in dogfights. It makes
things quite interesting (especially if like me, you became good at
watching both screens simultaneously).
If you create a levelset (with more than 10 levels) that you are proud
of, you may want to send me a copy (preferably a uuencoded lha file, by
email). I could collate a REALLY big levelset (99 1p missions, 99 2p
missions and 99 dogfight levels) of all my favourites and upload it to
aminet. I may do some minor tidying up of your levels, but your name
would appear in a README file with the levelset.
Yours, Bruce Webster.
